The CBC continues to operate in a wasteful, bias manner serving the socialist left wing mandate only while continuing to lose viewers and advertising revenues. Scandals continue. An unsettling, ugly anti Semitic movement has grown in the CBC News operation, history experts will know that this troubling bias can have devastating results for our country. Act now- contact your MP, the PMO and the CBC to stop this frightening socialist anti Semitic driven bias now.

Disgruntled CBC workers continue to confidentially share their stories with us, reports of management snooping, waste, huge salaries for select senior management, content bias, low employee morale continue in 2021 and we will expose these activities in our blog while protecting our whistleblower contacts. We take joy in knowing that the CBC-HQ visits us daily to spy on us, read our stories and to find out who owns our for the Canadian people blog.

One of our most popular posts continues to be the epic Dr. Leenen case against the Fifth Estate (the largest libel legal case ever awarded against the media in Canadian history) yet where no one at CBC was fired and taxpayers paid the huge award and legal costs for this blatant CBC Libel action. Writers and filmmakers -this is a Perfect story for an award winning Documentary -ok - who would fund it and where would it air since the CBC owns the Documentary channel! Can you help? Please contact us.

cbcExposed continues to enjoy substantial visitors coming from Universities and Colleges across Canada who use us for research in debates, exams, etc.

We ask students to please join with us in this mission; you have the power to make a difference! And so can private broadcasters who we know are hurting from the dwindling Advertising revenue pool and the CBC taking money from that pool while also unfairly getting massive Tax subsidies money. It's time to stop being silent and start speaking up Bell-CTV, Shaw-Global, Rogers, etc.

Our cbcExposed Twitter followers and visitors to cbcExposed continue to motivate us to expose CBC’s abuse and waste of tax money as well as exposing their ongoing left wing bully-like anti-sematic news bias. Polls meanwhile show that Canadians favour selling the wasteful government owned media giant and to put our tax money to better use for all Canadians. The Liberals privatized Petro Canada and Air Canada; it’s time for the Trudeau Liberals to privatize the CBC- certainly not give them more of our tax money-enough is enough!

The CBC network’s ratings continue to plummet while their costs and our taxpayer bailout subsidies continue to go up! In 2021 what case can be made for the Government to be in the broadcasting business, competing unfairly with the private sector? The CBC receives advertising and cable/satellite fees-fees greater than CTV and Global but this is not enough for the greedy CBC who also receive more than a billion dollars of your tax money every year. That’s about $100,000,000 (yes, $100 MILLION) of our taxes taken from your pay cheques every 30 days and with no CBC accountability to taxpayers.

Wake up! What does it take for real change at the CBC? YOU! Our blog contains a link to the Politicians contact info for you to make your voice heard. Act now and contact your MP, the Cabinet and Prime Minister ... tell them to stop wasting your money on a biased, failing media service, and ... sell the CBC.

CBC only publishes name of suspected war criminal after public helps catch him?

What the CBC is doing regarding their asinine phony policy on the 30 suspected war criminals hiding in Canada defies all logic.

The CBC refused to publish the names and pictures of those wanted by federal authorities and they re-stated this “policy” in the same article featuring one suspect picked up due to tips from the public.

Former prosecutor ambushed on CBC ...

Former Manitoba prosecutor George Dangerfield has witnessed a few of his very complex prosecutions being flushed after paperwork reviews by Ottawa-based lawyers. Another is under consideration.

Last week, CBC's The Fifth Estate, hosted by award-winning reporter Bob McKeown, took a look at those cases. Its condemnation of George Dangerfield was incredible.

The CBC's lack of depth in its treatment of those cases was astounding as it set out its series of irregularities, insinuating that lying and perjury and payoffs were part of the Dangerfield game plan.

McKeown claimed an $84,000 payment to Zanidean for testimony. If he had dug further, he might have found federal documents detailing that $84,000 was paid out in Zanidean's name, but that most didn't go into Zanidean's pockets. It went to pay for the salaries of the cops assigned to protect Zanidean and the safe places to lodge him pending Driskell's trial.

It's too bad McKeown didn't speak to key Mounties. He might have learned about the strict laws that govern sting-confessions and of the RCMP being ready and willing to take the case back to the courtroom.
The show was an unfair indictment of George Dangerfield.

CBC motto: Spend, don't tell ...

CBC can now claim that it is more secretive than the Harper government.

The state broadcaster's newscasts have often claimed the government is highly secretive but when it comes to releasing cost details, the CBC is second to none.

CBC licence renewal a farce ...

The CBC’s licence is up for renewal at the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission, the government regulator for TV and radio.

Angry Canadians will have a chance to make their grievances to the government regulator. As if the government regulator would tell the government broadcaster to change it ways to benefit citizens.

The CBC is built on the myth government can do TV better than the private sector.

CBC’s Milewski says his job as reporter is to “sell ads” ...

First, it is bizarre that CBC’s Terry Milewski is doing an interview for a Globe and Mail piece but what’s even more astounding is his admissions of playing it up for the camera:

“People imagine that the CBC is this grand public service funded entirely by taxpayer dollars, but my job is to sell ads. You won’t catch me saying, certainly not on tape, that we at CBC have some grand mission to speak truth to power.”

CBC good value, CBC says ,,,

A new CBC-commissioned study has revealed - wait for it - that the CBC is great value for public money and a driving force in the in the Canadian economy.

Deloitte & Touche's 97-page study, commissioned by the CBC and released Wednesday, found the $1.7 billion the public broadcaster spent in 2010 - $1.1 billion of it from taxpayers - generated $3.7 billion for the Canadian economy.

The CBC would not reveal how much they paid Deloitte for the study, but a former consultant suggested a price tag of six figures wouldn't be unusual.

But Veldhuis and others argue there's a negative economic impact when the government takes the money out of the economy in taxes that isn't accounted for in the study.

"They haven't accounted for that damage that that $1.1 billion has cost the economy."

Taxpayers foot bill for CBC lunches with friends ...

What happens when a senator and CBC executive meet? You pay either way. The only question is how much.

Sylvain Lafrance, the executive VP of CBC's French language services, treated Liberal Senator Francis Fox to a $119 lunch in October 2009 at Montreal's Restaurant Julien.

Details of what was consumed are not provided in the documents, but an online version of the restaurant's menu shows entrees normally cost less than $20, meaning the pair likely dined on more than just food.

CBC tightlipped about harassment payouts ...

Canadians paid out to settle workplace harassment lawsuits at the CBC but the state broadcaster is refusing to say how much money taxpayers spent to settle the claims.

An access to information request filed on behalf of QMI Agency shows that at least 30 invoices were submitted to the CBC for harassment claims in the fiscal year that ended last March.

All that can be learned from the invoices is that CBC paid lawyers and investigators at firms in Toronto, Montreal and Halifax to deal with the matters. Details on amounts paid to each firm and whether the bill was for workplace harassment, sexual harassment or another matter have also been removed.

CBC Television News Guilty of Anti-American Bias ...

CBC won’t tell how much Andrew Coyne et al are being paid ...

Brian Lilley from Sun News keeps up the digging to find out where our $1.2B of taxpayers money is going at the CBC but ran into another snub finding out the price to bring political pundits on the At Issue Panel.

Besides the appearance fees, Lilley was looking for travel, accommodation, meals and hospitality costs of having the likes of Macleans’ Andrew Coyne get to Toronto each week for the 10 minute gig.

CBC is refusing to give out this info saying it “touches on their programming and journalism”. How taxpayers knowing the costs to have Coyne and the rest of the Panel brought in on the taxpayers’ dime to the studio each week instead of on video feed is somehow a journalistic issue, defies logic. The CBC is only stonewalling as they know expenses like these drive people nuts and are sure to prove embarrassing.

CBC digs in ever deeper ...

The CBC — to quote a great line from the movie Predator — has “dug itself in like an Alabama tick.” And it is not about to come out any time soon.

In fact, it’s digging itself in deeper.

In her annual report to Parliament, Information Commissioner Suzanne Legault again castigated the state broadcaster — not once, but several times — for refusing to cough up legitimate freedom-of-information requests for documents regarding how it spends our hard-earned dollars.

Remember, the CBC could not exist without the contributions of the Canadian taxpayer. The broadcaster loses $1.2 billion a year and we, as taxpayers, are forced to cover off its markers without knowing how a single dime of that money is spent.

And this is patently wrong.

CBC/Radio-Canada is about to be dealt a 5% blow to its parliamentary allocation in the next budget, Heritage Minister James Moore said.

Group wants CBC to open up about pay ...

A taxpayer advocacy group is calling on CBC to be as open about the salaries for their top executives as executives of some of Canada's top companies are.

Last week, the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives published a list of the 100 top-paid chief executives. At the top of the list was Barrick Gold CEO Aaron Regent whose total compensation in 2010 came in at $24,217,040. At the bottom of the list Michael Waites of Finning International who took home $2,967,207.

CBC has repeatedly refused to disclose the salaries or bonuses of their top executives unlike many publicly traded companies.

Time to end CBC’s free ride

We need the CBC, the left-wingers say. We depend on the CBC to offer us unbiased news, as if any point of view that favours the left is non-biased.
The fact is, the CBC is a dinosaur, part of a bygone era that favoured bloated Crown corporations rather than ensuring a fair system for all.

When it comes to necessary services like health care, government funding makes sense. Canada's public health care system is a wonderful thing.

But when it comes to the media, using public money to fund a news network is galling. The success of a news network should be determined by how many people watch it, not by how much public money gets fed to it.

This outdated, out-of-touch media outlet sucks up over $1 billion a year of public money because, well, because it's the CBC.

CBC denied having documents about proposed fundraiser ...

CBC at first denied there were any records for a proposed political fundraiser at their Toronto headquarters, then admitted that they did have correspondence on the issue.

According to documents obtained by QMI Agency though access to information, CBC officials were not only willing to allow an Ontario Liberal MPP to use the Glenn Gould Studio in Toronto for a concert and silent auction fundraiser, they were willing to waive their standard 20% commission on auction to help the fundraiser be a success.

Information czar gives Canada Post, CBC low marks ...

Information commissioner Suzanne Legault used her second report in as many years to deliver that verdict to Canada Post, one of eight institutions, including the CBC, that became the focus of this year's probe.

The report concluded: "The Access to Information Act is not a guideline or a policy which can be followed or not followed, with little consequence. It is a statute adopted by Parliament that has been recognized by the courts as having quasi-constitutional status. Therefore breaches of the Act should not be without consequence."

Feds to CBC: Be open, comply with law ...

The Canadian Taxpayers Federation is calling on the Harper government to do more than pay lip service to openness and force CBC to follow the access law.

“The outcomes are what matter and the CBC is about as transparent as mud,” said the CTF’s Kevin Gaudet. “Like most government departments, and crowns and agencies, they use every trick in the book to hide whatever they want.

CBC cash cow ...

CBC started out as a government radio broadcaster in 1936 and became a television broadcaster in 1952. Since then CBC has expanded dramatically and has plans to expand even further under a strategy called Everyone, Every Way.

One of the more ambitious areas CBC is planning to expand into is all-sports programming. The government-funded broadcaster has received licences and is planning to launch all-sports channels to compete with TSN, RDS and other specialty channels.

CBC's use of tax dollars to compete with the private sector is not limited to broadcasting. They also use their subsidized equipment to compete in areas such as offering mobile production facilities and the maintenance of transmission lines.
